Revelation 1:13-15
Revelation
1:13 and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man,"
[Daniel 7:13] dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden
sash around his chest.
14
His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were
like blazing fire.
15
His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the
sound of rushing waters.
I.
One
like a son of man
1.
This phrase also appears in Daniel 7:13 and
10:16.
2. The
phrase "Son of Man" is Jesus’ favorite self-designation.
Daniel 7:13 I saw in the
night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son
of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.
3.
The
phrase Son of Man appears 80 plus times in the New Testament.

II.
…dressed
in a robe reaching down to his feet
We note that Jesus has on a
ROBE is denoting royalty. If you read exodus chapter 39 we can
understand the royalty. Isaiah also seeing the same vision.
Isaiah 6:1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord
sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the
temple.
III.
…and
with a golden sash around his chest.
This represents the High
Priest. They wore a golden girdle cf. Exodus 28:8
Exodus 28:8 And the skillfully woven band on it shall be made
like it and be of one piece with it, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet
yarns, and fine twined linen.
·
If you were the
towel on vest it shows the your humbleness
·
If you were the towel on shoulder it shows the
your dignity and power
·
When Jesus was in
this world He tied towel on his vest
John 13:4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments,
and taking a towel, tied it around his waist.
John 13:6 Then cometh he
to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
John 13:7 Jesus
answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know
hereafter.
This means whatever
tribulation I am going to face, How is am humble when they persecuting me in
the same way the people will do to you all.
John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you
also ought to wash one another's feet.
But in second coming as Lord
of Lord and King of King at the same time He is the high priest of the church.
Jesus is our high priest
under the order of Melchizedek
Heb. 5:10 "and was designated by God to be high priest in
the order of Melchizedek." This golden girdle was worn by one of rank and
greatness.
Who is Melchizedek?
Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchizedek,
king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the
slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
The whole chapter Hebrews 7
talking about the Melchizedek and relation between the Jesus and Melchizedek also
explained here.
IV.
…His
head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow,
Suggesting purity and ancient
of days. Knowledge, wisdom and experience.
Dan 7-13 …
he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.
V.
His
eyes were like blazing fire. His eyes were like a flame of fire.
This clearly tells us Jesus
is very anger, that’s why His eyes looks link that. He loves His church very
much. But the church behavior was not His expected level so He looks very anger
Ephesus
Revelation 2:5 …..If not, I will come to you and remove your
lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Revelation
2:9
…the slander[1] of those
who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of
Satan.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against you: you have
some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling
block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to
idols and practice sexual immorality.
From this what we can
understand is He sees all before his
penetrating eyes.
Nothing in all creation is
hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes
of him to whom we must give account.
Heb. 4:13 "Neither is there any creature that is not
manifest in his sight but all things are naked and opened unto the EYES OF HIM
with whom we have to do."
