Revelation 2:1 "To the angel of the church in Ephesus
write: 'The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks
among the seven golden lampstands.
"To the
angel of the church in Ephesus write:
Lord Jesus told St. John to address this letter to messenger
(angalo) or in charge or pastor or bishop of Ephesus church.
Jesus
Introduction
According Rev 1:20 we know that the 7 stars are 7 messengers of
church and 7 lampstands are 7 churches. But what we need to understand here
means why
Lord Jesus introduces Himself to the church like this? Not only
has that He mentioning I walked among the seven golden lampstands.
Ephesus was
the first church. In the early days after Lord Jesus resurrected the gospel was
spread very fast by His apostles. So the church had faith in Christ. St. Paul mentioned
this in Eph 2:8
Eph2:8 By
the grace of God you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you:
it is God's gift.
Because of that God name glorified mist of them. In the second
part of acts 19:17 tells us “the name of the Lord
Jesus came to be held in great honor”
because of that only Lord Introduce Himself
like this “who walks among the seven golden lampstands.”
