Revelation 5:11-14

Revelation 5:11-14

Revelation 5:11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,
Revelation 5:12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
Revelation 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"
Revelation 5:14 And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Continue of worshiping of twenty four elder and four living creature john hearing the harmony of innumerable angle. Here John try to tell the count of angle, he told the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand that means 100 million after the he changed the number thousands of thousands. What we can understand from this number is, actually there are innumerable angles. Here John try to tell in the same manner like Daniel

Daniel 7:10 "Thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him."

Psalm 68:17; "The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels."

Deuteronomy 33:2;  He said, "The Lord came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us;[1] he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire[2] at his right hand.

1 Kings 22:19 And Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing beside him on his right hand and on his left;

Revelation 5:12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me"

Hear the angles also mention same as the same what the twenty four elder mentioned in the previous verse "Worthy is the lamb who was slain". From this we what we can able to understand was the angles also proclaiming  that why the lamb is worthy to open the seal.  They also mentioning continually about Lamb is not only worthy to open the seal apart from it open the seal He is worthy to receive

The POWER - In Rev 5:6 mentioned about 7 horns that means the complete(=7) power(=horns),

WEALTH -    From Rev 4:9,10  we can see that  four living creature and twenty four elder were parising God " who liveth for ever and ever".  from this we can understand about our God's wealth, He is everlasting God.

Horner - Mathew 28:18-20 " And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me".

Glory and Blessing -  Psalm 72-19 "Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!"

Revelation 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"

First we saw that twenty four elder praised the Lamb and four living creature was praised the Lamb and all innumerable angles were submitted their praise and glory and now all creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth and under the sea is giving their glory and honor of to the Lamb.

Revelation 5:14 And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

after all creature of God finished praising the Lamb the four living creature and twenty four elders where said Amen. That means they approving the truth of praising.

Revelation 5:7-10

Revelation 5:7-10

Revelation 5:7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne.
Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
Revelation 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth."
5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.
As I said before, this is Jesus, the Lamb, taking the book from His own self, because He is the Right Hand of God. When He takes the book and unrolls the scroll, the events written within will happen.
The Lamb contains seven eyes and seven horns. The seven horns speak of complete power and the seven eyes or Spirits sent forth means He will rule over all the earth in the complete fullness of God.
5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having everyone of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
All Christendom will bow before the Lamb.  We read that every knee will bow and every tongue confesses to God, Romans 14:11.
It is a real comfort to know that every prayer that we ever prayed is stored in heaven

3. Saints = the Greek says literally, "the holy ones." This term occurs thirteen times in the Revelation (5:8, 8:3, 4; 11:18; 13:7, 10; 14:12; 16:6; 17:6; 18:20, 24; 19:8; 20:9). This is clearly John’s term of choice to designate those who belong with Jesus Christ throughout the ages. Notice the different descriptions:
a. Their prayers are collected and held in heaven, 5:8, 8:3.
b. They are rewarded by God, 11:18.
c. They are the object of Satan/Antichrist’s persecution, 13:8.
d. They persevere and remain faithful during persecution, 13:10, 14:12.
e. They are the object the world’s persecution, 16:6.
f. They are the object of "the great harlot’s" persecution, 17:6.
g. They rejoice over God’s punishment of the harlot, 18:20.
h. They are between the designated kill of the harlot, 18:24.
i. Their righteous deeds are the dress of the wife of the Lamb, 19:8.
j. They live in Jerusalem during the 1000 year kingdom, 20:9.
This term is used of Israelites in Daniel 7:21-22, 25, 27 and 8:24. They are depicted as the object of Antichrist’s persecution and God’s benevolence. At the time of Daniel’s writing, saints referred to only those of Israel. This point has been seized on by pretribulationists who insist that the term saint be limited to those of Israel in the Revelation. Pretribulationists reason that the church will have been raptured to heaven before Revelation 5 occurs. It is argued that those persecuted by Satan/Antichrist during Daniel’s Seventieth Week will not be part of the "bride of Christ" because the church age ends at the Rapture, which pretribbers argue most occur before Daniel Seventieth Week begins.
This whole line of reasoning is fundamentally flawed. While Daniel 7 and 8 can correctly be limited to Jews at the time of writing, whether the term saints as used in Revelation can be extended to include New Testament believers must be left to exegesis, not theological presuppositions. The term saints or holy ones is used throughout the New Testament to refer to an individual believer, a small group or the entire body of Christ. (Notice: Acts 9:13, 32, 41; Rom 8:27; 12:13; 15:26; 16:2, 15; 1 Cor 6:1-2; 14:33; 2 Cor 1:1; 13:12; Eph 1:15; 3:18; 4:12; 5:3; 6:18; Phil 4:22; Col 1:4; 1 Tim 5:10; Philem 5, 7; Heb 6:10; 13:24; Jude 3).
Revelation 5:9-10
And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for (1)You were slain, and (2) purchased for God with Your blood (3) men from (4) every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made (5) them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and (6) they will reign on the earth."
1. You were slain (sphazein) = shows the basis on which the Lamb is worthy to open the seals. The Lamb is worthy because of three things He did. First, literally the Greek says, "You were slaughtered…" This Greek verb infers a violent and merciless death (Louw-Nida, § 20.72). This term is used to describe the Lord’s death in chapters five and thirteen. It is used of believers in Revelation 6:9 and 18:24. The fact that the term is used to describe both the deaths of the Lord and believers show that the mode of death is not showed. While the death of the Lord resulted from crucifixion, clearly the death of all believers are not the result of crucifixion. It is used to describe the actions of Cain against his brother in 1 John 3:12. Cain killed his brother by cutting him.
2. (You) purchased (agorazein) = is the Greek verb used throughout the New Testament to designate the activity of the Lord in His death for sinners. The term means, in a figurative sense, "to cause the release of someone by paying a price." Here, the price was the Lord’s life.
3. Men = the reader will notice that this word appears in italics in the NASB. This shows that the word does not appear in the original Greek. The reason this word is inserted is because the Greek does not contain an object of the verb. This is not reflected correctly in the King James Bible. However, the sense of the text demands that an object be inserted to make the sense complete. It is common sense that God purchased men (and women, boys and girls) with the death of the Lord.
4. Tribe and tongue and people and nation = these four ethnic units cumulatively emphasize the universality of the group purchased by the Lord’s death. It is important to recognize that a group of individuals was purchased.
5. You have made them to be a kingdom = this is the third and final action describing the Lord’s work that establishes His worthiness to break the seals. He made them. This act was done at the time the purchase was made. This helps all believers understand their position in Christ. We were bought before we were born and established as a kingdom. This is good news for the broken of our world. We are a kingdom and we are priests of God.
6. They will reign on the earth = this is the final and ultimate outcome of the Lord’s work at death. The undisputed "they" and "them" in the original Greek of verse 10 demand that the objects of verse 9 be objective in nature. This means that the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders do not include themselves in the list of those purchased by the blood of the Lamb.
Notice that the locale of the saints' reign will be the earth. This would strongly argue against an amillennial interpretation of the book of Revelation, which sees the reign of the saints restricted to heaven.

Revelation 5:6

Revelation 5:6

Revelation 5:6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

…between the throne John’s attention is now drawn to the center of the throne of God.  It is important to understand the location.  The center indicates the source of authority and nature of the referent.

1.      I saw a Lamb standing

1. A Lamb standing = this is the first of twenty-nine times arnion (lamb) occurs in the Revelation. With the exception of Revelation13:11, all refer to Jesus:

Shepherd : Generally Jesus is mentioned in New Testament as Shepherd.

John 10:11-14. "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep.

John 10:15. "just as the Father knows me and I know the Father- - -and I lay down my life for the sheep."

1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Psalm 23:1 it says something like this, The LORD is my shepherd,

2.      …as though it had been slain
Sheep Characteristics
·        Sheep are foolish
I don’t know what sheep would score in an animal IQ, but I think they would be close to the bottom of the scale, its IQ level less than 1%.
·        From the people point, Jesus was look like foolish. All are mocking at him, if you are son of God come down from the cross,
Matthew 27:42 "He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.
Mark 15:32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe." Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.
Actually Jesus had a power to do that but He did not did that because of God’s will He accept it and to other’s eyes He looked as foolish fellow.
2. Sheep are unattractive
Some animals may not be very bright, but make up for it with grace and elegance in their movement and actions. But sheep are so awkward, so lacking in agility and dignity. Although some shepherds may tell you differently, to most outside observers sheep are dirty, smelly, and ugly.

Jesus Christ was very handsome,
Song of Solomon 2:1 I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.

But when became sheep what his status
Isaiah 53:2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

3. Sheep are stubborn
Have you ever tried to move a sheep? It’s like trying to move an elephant. Ever watched a shepherd try to manoeuvre a sheep into a fold or a dip-tank.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

We can understand His stubbornness from above verse
4. Sheep are dependent
Some animals can cope and thrive without any close supervision. Not sheep. They are very dependent on their shepherd. They cannot live without him.

Even though Jesus afraid to accept the cup of sorrow. But the will is not to His wish. He depends the God’s will (Mat 26:39, 42, Mark; 14:36, Luck 22:42).
Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I go over there and pray."
Matthew 26:42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done."

12. Sheep are the same everywhere
I’ve been in a number of different countries in my life and enjoyed the many cultural differences. But sheep are the one constant – in character if not in looks. The American sheep is the same as the African sheep (see 1-11 above), which is the same as the Asian sheep, which is the same as…

From the sheep character how Jesus His behaved as a Lamb infornt of God’s will, in the same manner we also do the same to fulfills God’s will. Jesus is a model as a lamb for all of us.
John the baptized mentioned Jesus as Lamb.
John 1:36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

Peter mentioned Jesus a Lamb.
1 Peter 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Prophesies about lamb

The Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as a “guilt offering”

First prophesied by Abraham

When God told to Abraham to offer his one and only son Isaac, Abraham obeyed. That time Isaac asked Abraham about offering lamb for that Abraham replayed to his son is mention in Genesis 22:7,8.

Genesis 22:7-8:"My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together"

3.      Horn
The Lamb contains seven eyes and seven horns. The seven horns speak of complete power and the seven eyes or Spirits sent forth means He will rule over all of the earth in the complete fullness of God.

Some of reference to tell that meaning of Horn is power

Jeremiah 48:25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, declares the Lord.

Ezekiel 29:21 "On that day I will cause a horn to spring up for the house of Israel, and I will open your lips among them. Then they will know that I am the Lord."

Micah 4:13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; and shall devote[1] their gain to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.

The following statement is printed in red which means Jesus Himself spoke these words. This was spoken after His resurrection.

In Matthew 28:18, we see this verified. "And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

4.      The seven eyes
It mentioned in the same verse is the seven characteristic of  Spirits is mention in Isaiah 11:2. It sent forth means He will rule over all of the earth in the complete fullness of God.
