Revelation 5:6

Revelation 5:6

Revelation 5:6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

…between the throne John’s attention is now drawn to the center of the throne of God.  It is important to understand the location.  The center indicates the source of authority and nature of the referent.

Shepherd : Generally Jesus is mentioned in New Testament as Shepherd.

John 10:11-14. "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep.

John 10:15. "just as the Father knows me and I know the Father- - -and I lay down my life for the sheep."

1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Psalm 23:1 it says something like this, The LORD is my shepherd,

2.      …as though it had been slain
Sheep Characteristics
·        Sheep are foolish
I don’t know what sheep would score in an animal IQ, but I think they would be close to the bottom of the scale, its IQ level less than 1%.
·        From the people point, Jesus was look like foolish. All are mocking at him, if you are son of God come down from the cross,
Matthew 27:42 "He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.
Mark 15:32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe." Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.
Actually Jesus had a power to do that but He did not did that because of God’s will He accept it and to other’s eyes He looked as foolish fellow.
2. Sheep are unattractive
Some animals may not be very bright, but make up for it with grace and elegance in their movement and actions. But sheep are so awkward, so lacking in agility and dignity. Although some shepherds may tell you differently, to most outside observers sheep are dirty, smelly, and ugly.

Jesus Christ was very handsome,
Song of Solomon 2:1 I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.

But when became sheep what his status
Isaiah 53:2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

3. Sheep are stubborn
Have you ever tried to move a sheep? It’s like trying to move an elephant. Ever watched a shepherd try to manoeuvre a sheep into a fold or a dip-tank.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

We can understand His stubbornness from above verse
4. Sheep are dependent
Some animals can cope and thrive without any close supervision. Not sheep. They are very dependent on their shepherd. They cannot live without him.

Even though Jesus afraid to accept the cup of sorrow. But the will is not to His wish. He depends the God’s will (Mat 26:39, 42, Mark; 14:36, Luck 22:42).
Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I go over there and pray."
Matthew 26:42 Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done."

12. Sheep are the same everywhere
I’ve been in a number of different countries in my life and enjoyed the many cultural differences. But sheep are the one constant – in character if not in looks. The American sheep is the same as the African sheep (see 1-11 above), which is the same as the Asian sheep, which is the same as…

From the sheep character how Jesus His behaved as a Lamb infornt of God’s will, in the same manner we also do the same to fulfills God’s will. Jesus is a model as a lamb for all of us.
John the baptized mentioned Jesus as Lamb.
John 1:36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

Peter mentioned Jesus a Lamb.
1 Peter 1:19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Prophesies about lamb

The Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as a “guilt offering”

First prophesied by Abraham

When God told to Abraham to offer his one and only son Isaac, Abraham obeyed. That time Isaac asked Abraham about offering lamb for that Abraham replayed to his son is mention in Genesis 22:7,8.

Genesis 22:7-8:"My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together"

3.      Horn
The Lamb contains seven eyes and seven horns. The seven horns speak of complete power and the seven eyes or Spirits sent forth means He will rule over all of the earth in the complete fullness of God.

Some of reference to tell that meaning of Horn is power

Jeremiah 48:25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, declares the Lord.

Ezekiel 29:21 "On that day I will cause a horn to spring up for the house of Israel, and I will open your lips among them. Then they will know that I am the Lord."

Micah 4:13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; and shall devote[1] their gain to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.

The following statement is printed in red which means Jesus Himself spoke these words. This was spoken after His resurrection.

In Matthew 28:18, we see this verified. "And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

4.      The seven eyes
It mentioned in the same verse is the seven characteristic of  Spirits is mention in Isaiah 11:2. It sent forth means He will rule over all of the earth in the complete fullness of God.
