Revelation 4:9-11
Revelation 4:9 And
whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is
seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,
Revelation 4:10 the
twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship
him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne,
saying,
Revelation 4:11 "Worthy are you, our Lord
and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and
by your will they existed and were created."
Whenever : from this word we can understand the four living creatures are
praising the Lord our God in often.
give glory and honor and thanks : How they praising the God ? They giving glories to Him
and they giving all honors to Him and finally they giving their thanks to Him.
From these things, what we can understand is, whenever we are coming to God’s
presence, we also should give these three things, that mean glory, honor and
thanks.
who is seated on the throne : Refers God.
who lives forever and ever, : This phrase tells us the nature
of our God. He is everlasting God. For Him there is no beginning and ending.
Even in the verse 4:10 also, the twenty four elders is telling the same thing.
the twenty-four elders fall down
before him who is seated on the throne
Here
we are seeing the twenty four elders are falling down in front of the God’s
throne
and worship him who lives forever
and ever
why
these twenty four elders are falling down means to worship Him. So can under
stand one thing from this four living creature and these twenty four elders is
praising and worshiping.
In
the Rev.4:9 we can see the four living creature are praising the Lord God
through giving glory, honor and thanks. In Rev.4;10 the twenty four elders are
bowing down before God for worship. How they are worshiping? The last part of
the Rev.4:10 and Rev.4:11 tells us.
They cast their crowns before the
throne
We
know that the meaning for crown, it represents the power and authority. Who eligible
to receive this crown? Who overcame this world. Here when the twenty four
elders worshiping God, they are casting their crowns before God. What we can
understand from this is, before God
everyone is empty and everyone is equal.
"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to
receive glory and honor and power,
Here
the elders are understood the power of our mighty God. He is the one and only
to receive the glory, honor and power.
Philippians 2:10 so
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and
under the earth,
Philippians 2:11 and
every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
According this phil.2:10 every knee should
bow in HEAVEN and on EARTH
Here john seeing the same vision how the
twenty four elders bowing down before God’s throne and how the living creature
confessing that means praising HOLY, HOLY, HOLY you are worthy to receive
glory, honor, power and thanks.
…for you created all things, and
by your will they existed and were created."
Because through Jesus only all are created
and because of His will only till now everything is functioning.
Ephesians 3:9 and
to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages
in[1] God who created all things,
Hebrews 1:2 but
in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir
of all things, through whom also he created the world.
Colossians 1:15 He
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Colossians 1:16 For
by[1] him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible
and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all
things were created through him and for him.
Colossians 1:17 And
he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
