Revelation10:2
Rev.
10:2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the
sea and his left foot on the land,
He had a little book
The Greek term
translated "little book" is biblaridion which is the
diminutive form of biblion which itself is the diminutive of biblos
which means scroll or book. Our word "bibliography" comes from
this Greek word. The book of Daniel with only 12 chapters is not a large book.
A part or parts of Daniel
book
The little, little
book could be a part or parts of Daniel's writing. Much of what Daniel had
written was understood at the time, but one part in particular, the prophet
himself did not understand. We may assume that to be the sealed portion, the biblaridion.
Daniel did not understand the part about the 2300 evenings and mornings (8:14)
but there were also the 70 weeks and the "time, times and half a
time." He must have asked himself how they could relate to the time before
his people could return to Jerusalem after the captivity.
When we read the book of
Daniel chapter 12 we can understand what is this little book?
Dan 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and
seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall increase."
We realize that, with
eternal certainty, Christ had ordered the book sealed for a specific length of
time. Now he holds it open. By reading the drama there in Daniel's chapter 12,
we could see that the "book" is a prophecy he wrote out but couldn't
understand. It is the book in the hand of the mighty angel. And it was about a
terrible and long experience of God's people which was not explained.
When Daniel heard the conversation from the riverbanks and was told by the man in linen above the river to seal the book which he could not understand, he begged to know but was told that the words were hidden and sealed until the "time of the end." If, as I believe, we are now in that "time of the end" we should be able to understand.
Which
one was sealed by Daniel now that time has come to open, because of that only
here we are seeing in that angle holding the an open book in his hand.
And he set his right foot on the sea and his
left foot on the land
From
this what we can understand is, this angle going to swore on creator name. All
of us we know how God created the world we are reading in the book of Geniuses
Gen
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the
earth.
Gen
1:9,10 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be
gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called
the dry land Earth; and the gathering
together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
From this what we can understand heaven, earth
and sea is covering the whole universe. If we see this angle standing one leg
in the sea and another leg in land and he stretch out his hand towards heaven
Rev 10:5 And the
angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to
heaven,
So he covering the heaven. He wearing the cloud
as a cloth. From all these thing what we can understand is
1.
He having authority over all these thing
2.
What he going tell the message is to all
people who living through out the world
The same incident was happened in Daniel time also.
Danel 12:7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen,
who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand
and his left hand to heaven,
Rev.10: 13(a) and cried with a loud voice, as when a
lion roars. When he cried out,…
Cried with a loud voice…
From this word what I can
understand is our LORD’s mercy. Up to now many
seals, trumpets was over through this seals and trumpets many disaster
happened to his world. Through this disaster many of the lands were destroyed, many
people half portion of the people were died. After seeing all these disaster
the people not repent. Still there are going and worshiping the idols and other
things what rev 9:20,21 says. God thinking about these people and He crying
about their worst end. In this time also God wants to give last opportunities
to the remaining people to be save their life.
as when a lion roars
We already saw this meaning of lion
roars in the last session for remembering that here I gave the reference below.
Loud
voice like a lion’s roar
|
Dan 10:6 the sound of his words
like the voice of a multitude.
|
Rev 1:15 :
His voice as the sound of many waters;
|
Hosea 11:10
"
They shall walk after the LORD. He will roar
like a lion.”
