Revelation 13: 11, 12

^{Rev 13:11} Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

^{Rev 13:12}   And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The beast from the earth, is otherwise known as the false prophet and he completes this unholy trinity of Dragon, beast and false prophet.

False Prophet

Who is false prophet ?

2 Peter 2:1

How to identify the false prophet

Deuteronomy 18:20-22  

But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.

Mask of False Prophet

Matthew 7:15"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?…

       Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Act of False Prophet

Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

 

John 10:12
The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

What we can do

Romans 16:17
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

Only way to escape from his hand He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me. 46 I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My sayings, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.           Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

          And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

          I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
