Current Name : Thyateira (also Thyatira) is the name of the modern Turkish city of Akhisar ("white
castle").

Current Location : The name comes from Koine Greek
"Θυάτειρα" (Thuateira).[1] The Turkish equivalent
of Thyateira is Tepe Mezarligi. It lies in the far west of
Turkey, south of Istanbul and almost due east of Athens. It is about 50 miles
(80 km) from the Mediterranean.
History of Name : It was named Thyateira (Θυάτειρα) by king Seleucus I Nicator. At the beginning of the 3rd century BC
it was re-founded by Seleucus I Nicator (311-280 BC). He was at war with Lysimachus when he
learned that his wife had given birth to a daughter. He called this city
"thuateira", from Greek meaning "daughter.
Ancient Location :The city of Thyatira was situated between the cities Pergamos
and Sardis. The Church in Pergamos represented the previous "third"
Church Age, and Sardis respresents the next or "fifth" Church Age
Nature of Job : It was famous for its dyeing and was a center of the indigo trade.
Inscriptions mention the following: wool-workers, linen-workers, makers of
outer garments, dyers, leather-workers, tanners, potters, bakers, slave-dealers,
and bronze-smiths.
Ancient God : Thyatira people worshiped the Apollo God. Meaning of Apollo is
“sun god”. Apollo was son of Zesus. This Apollo tried to implement the his
father doctrine.
Christianity Established in Thyatira : The Apostle Paul and Silas might have
visited Thyatira during Paul's second or third journey, although the evidence
is entirely circumstantial. They visited several small unnamed towns in the
general vicinity during the second journey.
Acts 16:14 One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city
of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord
opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.

accept the Jesus and gospel. But in the later days the church activities went
very bad. This church duration was the longest duration compare the other
church. Almost 1000 years. That means 1 millennium. Generally the philosopher’s

mentioned about the God’s millennium rule the same way this 1000 years they
