Revelation 2:18
18 And unto the angel of
the Church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his
eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
1.
Who hath
his eyes like unto a flame of fire
Christ, reminding Thyatira
that He is the Son of God, looks at this church with eyes of blazing fire. This
is definitely not a good way to be regarded by Jesus. During His ministry that
looks was reserved for those Pharisees and scribes who claimed to be God’s
servants, but who were hypocrites. Is this the problem with Thyatira?
1.1. EYES
It is an evident that, what the behaviors
of the people are? Bible says nothing is hidden to our Lord eyes.
HEBREWS 4:13 AND NO CREATURE IS HIDDEN FROM HIS SIGHT, BUT
ALL ARE NAKED AND EXPOSED TO THE EYES OF HIM TO WHOM WE MUST GIVE ACCOUNT.
1.2. Like unto a flame of fire
Apostle John saw Jesus eyes were looks like flame of fire; this is
description of His state. Like the same prophet Daniel
also saw Son of Man eyes like flaming torches.
DANIEL 10:6 HIS BODY WAS LIKE CHRYSOLITE, HIS FACE LIKE LIGHTNING, HIS EYES LIKE
FLAMING TORCHES, HIS ARMS AND LEGS LIKE THE GLEAM OF BURNISHED BRONZE, AND HIS
VOICE LIKE THE SOUND OF A MULTITUDE.
REVELATION 19:12 HIS EYES ARE LIKE BLAZING FIRE, AND ON HIS HEAD ARE MANY CROWNS. HE HAS A
NAME WRITTEN ON HIM THAT NO ONE KNOWS BUT HE HIMSELF.
In initial days Thyatira church
did very good things, this we can understand when we reading the scripture
revelation 2:19. But the following days this church last its divine and it
accepted the false teaching. Because of their diversion, Jesus had anger
against this church people. How much He got anger against this church we can
able to understand through his red (flaming) eyes.
2.
His feet
are like fine brass
This phrase is clearly explained to us how our Lord God hate the evil
workers. After saw out Lord God’s wonderers and His grace also many people not
ready to repent. If they continue their evil work He surly treads upon them.
The Israelites saw the many wonderers of Lord our God, even though they were
not turn towards to God. Bible says in the book of Micah 1:5 and Malachi 4:3 we
can understand this
MICAH 1:2 HEAR, YOU PEOPLES, ALL OF YOU;[1] PAY
ATTENTION, O EARTH, AND ALL THAT IS IN IT, AND LET THE LORD GOD BE A WITNESS
AGAINST YOU, THE LORD FROM HIS HOLY TEMPLE.
MICAH 1:3 FOR BEHOLD, THE LORD
IS COMING OUT OF HIS PLACE, AND WILL COME DOWN AND TREAD UPON THE HIGH
PLACES OF THE EARTH.
MICAH 1:4 AND THE MOUNTAINS WILL MELT UNDER HIM, AND THE VALLEYS
WILL SPLIT OPEN, LIKE WAX BEFORE THE FIRE, LIKE WATERS POURED DOWN A STEEP
PLACE.
MICAH 1:5 ALL THIS IS FOR THE TRANSGRESSION OF JACOB AND FOR THE
SINS OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. WHAT IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF JACOB? IS IT NOT
SAMARIA? AND WHAT IS THE HIGH PLACE OF JUDAH? IS IT NOT JERUSALEM?
MALACHI 4:3 AND YOU SHALL TREAD DOWN THE WICKED, FOR THEY
WILL BE ASHES UNDER THE SOLES OF YOUR FEET, ON THE DAY WHEN I ACT, SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS.
