Revelation 2:21-23

Revelation 2:21

Revelation 2:21 I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

I gave her
Actually here the word “her” was mentioned church. Revelation 17:4 The WOMAN was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her SEXUAL IMMORALITY.
Here also the lady mentioning the church and it compare the character the church was like Old Testament jezebel.

Time (Greek)--CHRONOS = time. God will not punish immediately. God gave enough time to change from evil deeds. Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.

To repent
Generally repent take place in the soul. Because bible says whatever sin we are doing all also added into soul. Bible says in Leviticus 17:11 for the life of the flesh is in the blood, and i have given it for you on the altar to make ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

…repent of her sexual immorality.
Here bible says, the people had a sexual relationship with this lady jezebel. Bible say is anyone having illegal sexual relationship, he/she spoling their soul.

Proverb 6:32 But whoso commit adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he that doeth it destroy his own soul.

…but she refuses to repent
After gave enough time also the church was not repent. It keeps on doing the Idol worship, wrong doctrine against what bible teaching etc., this continues till date.

Revelation 2:22

Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works,

This verse telling us, what are the things going to take place in the feature. What is going to happen for all, not ready to repent.

I will throw her onto a sickbed
Now you see many people came to know the false teaching and they are came out this church. That means the strength  of the church was becoming week. This weakness only here mentioned as sickbed. So Jesus told surely “I will throw her onto a sickbed”.

…those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation
Who are all the part of the church which follows the false teaching and false doctrine; To them Jesus wants to tell those are throw into great tribulation. That means they are not going to participate in the rapture. They will be leave in this world and they should face the antichrist great tribulation time. Bible says in
Leviticus 20:10 "If a man commits adultery with the wife of[1] his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Here both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death, in the same way here
1.    “who means is adulterer”
2.    “her means is adulteress” and
3.    “great tribulation means is death”.

Revelation 2:23

Revelation 2:23 and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you as your works deserve.

I will strike her children dead
Here the children mean the dissented of the church. Who are all follows the false teaching, idol worship and hold the sexual immoralities, all of them and in all the time, Jesus tells here I will put those people into death.

And all the churches will know that I am, He, who searches mind and heart,
When we discussed the rev 2:18 about how Jesus introduced Himself to this church. Jesus introduced like “who has eyes like a flame of fire”. What kind of eyes Jesus had? “ ALL ARE NAKED AND EXPOSED TO THE EYES OF HIM. HEBREWS 4:13”. Here also Jesus told to the church, I know about your mind and heart.

I will give to each of you as your works deserve.
In the same verse Hebrews 4:13 St. Paul says “TO WHOM WE MUST GIVE ACCOUNT”. What we deserve according to that we should give the account to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
