Revelation 2:14

Revelation 2:14

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.

Who is this Balaam ?
Numbers 22:5 sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor at Pethor, which is near the River in the land of the people of Amaw,[1] to call him, saying, "Behold, a people has come out of Egypt. They cover the face of the earth, and they are dwelling opposite me.

Third time Balaam blessed Israel this we can see in book of Numbers, chapter 24. After blessing the Israel prophet Balaam was left from the place
Numbers 24:25 Then Balaam rose and went back to his place. And Balak also went his way.

But before left from the place he thought some ideas to Moab king Balak. This teaching only out Lord hated. what is so bad about the teaching of Balaam? What is it about the teaching of Balaam that we are warned about by Yeshua?
There is some additional information about Balaam that we didn’t hear in this initial story. According to the sages of Israel and the commentary elsewhere in the Bible, Balaam offered something to Balak other than a blessing to help him against Israel, something far more harmful than a simple curse. "You don’t have to curse them; get their God to judge them." He instructed Balak and the Moabites to send their daughters over to marry the sons of Israel to draw Israel into the Moabite customs. His counsel was to move them away from the instruction and counsel of Moses and the God of Israel. This would prove to be devastating to Israel. This would result in God’s judgment upon Israel.
Balak did exactly as Balaam taught. The daughters of Moab were sent to Israel and the sons of Israel intermingled and began to enter into their customs and the worship of Baal. It caused great difficulty for Israel and brought about a judgment of God’s plague on them.

Numbers 25:1 While Israel lived in Shittim, the people began to whore with the daughters of Moab.
Numbers 25:2 These invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.
Numbers 25:3 So Israel yoked himself to Baal of Peor. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.

How we can tell Balaam thought this bad idea to Moabites
Numbers 31:16 Behold, these, on Balaam's advice, caused the people of Israel to act treacherously against the Lord in the incident of Peor, and so the plague came among the congregation of the Lord.

Jude 1:11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.

2 Peter 2:15 Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing,

Balaam killed by the Israelites
Numbers 31:8 They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian. And they also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.
